Beware of Warning while browsing the Internet

Almost all of come across a pop up window on our desktop showing a warning like -

‘Warning – visiting this website may harm your computer’

We are so used to internet that we often forget that Internet is not as secure as it seems. It is full of various software, malware and viruses which can cause damage to out computers. It is therefore very important to know about the damaging affects which any viruses or malware can cause to our computer. Although a lot of anti viruses have been invented which promise us to prevent from this threat but still a lot of danger prevails.

It includes such websites about which our operating system warns us with a message like’ warning – visiting this website may harm your computer.’ Very few of us actually take this warning on a serious note. On the other hand most of us simply ignore this warning and go ahead with visiting the website. It is essential to take this warning seriously and know what these websites can do to your computer:

Malware, adware, spyware and Trojans are very hard to detect and very difficult to remove. These can easily get into your websites when you open such an illegitimate Websites and can infect your PC

• Visiting such websites can slow down the over all performance speed of your PC and can induce cookies, tracking devices and many other files into your PC.
• File sharing on the Internet can prove to be very dangerous and are major source of virus attacks. Websites which allow illegal music or movie downloads are such sites.
• You increase your chance of picking up malware when you visit any harmful site knowingly or unknowingly. So, it is always better to take precautions and block Websites with a warning on it.

The best method to prevent your PC from malware infection is to use the Internet carefully and choose to click wisely. Never clicks on ads or messages which look even a little suspicious. So next time, when you come across any warning while surfing net, don’t ignore it.
